Tuscany Walking Terms

Booking
Bookings should be made on the booking enquiry form. A confirmation of your place(s) will be forwarded to you on receipt of your completed booking form and deposit. In the event of a place being unavailable your deposit will be refunded.

Payment
The full price of the holiday/guided walk(s), must be paid to Tuscany Walking by bank transfer at least 8 weeks prior to the departure date. If payment is not made by the due date then Tuscany Walking reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

Changing your booking
We will do our best to help should you request a change in your booking. We will need any change to be confirmed in writing. Changes will incur a £20 administration fee except when you are adding to the number of people in your party.

Cancellations

Your booking – a booking form must be completed. The person completes the form shall be deemed to act as the agent for all persons shown on the form and his/her completion of the form binds all such persons including the the person who completed the form, jointly and severally to the booking terms and conditions. This agreement is covered by English law.

Deposit payment – at the time of asking for your booking form to be confirmed a deposit of 500 euros per person for all walking holidays.

Balance payment – you must pay the balance of the cost of the course 8 weeks before your arrival by bank transfer or by payment of our electronic invoice. If you do not, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled in which case you are still liable to pay us cancellation charges of 100% of the total walking holiday.

If you cancel your booking – deposits are not refundable but can be used to secure another holiday in the same or following year. The balance payment which must be paid by bank transfer or by payment of our electronic invoice is due 8 weeks before the holiday as written in the receipt email. The balance is not refundable after 8 weeks before the holiday. Please ensure that you have travel insurance to cover cancellations and any other eventualities.

Complaints procedure
If you have a complaint during your holiday you must notify us immediately and we will do our best to resolve the problem. All complaints that are received are thoroughly investigated and guests kept informed. Sometimes investigations can take time, especially when awaiting a response from another source. We aim to settle all complaints amicably.

Passports
You require a current passport for all holidays. It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is in order. We cannot accept responsibility for any delay or expense incurred through irregularities in your documents.

Health requirements
We advise you to obtain a European Health insurance card. This will give you reciprocal health benefits in Italy. However we recommend that you arrange your own holiday health insurance.

Insurance
We recommend that you take out insurance to cover cancellation, personal accident, illness or loss of possessions. Please make sure your policy covers the activities to be undertaken. Tuscany Walking cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your baggage, or for illness or injury, nor public liability for any holiday arranged by us.

Parental Responsibility
Parents or guardians undertake to accept full responsibility and supervision of and for their children at all times.

Illness during you holiday
In the event of any illness during your holiday, it is the responsibility of the client to pay all doctors fees, hospital expenses and repatriation costs. Tuscany Walking shall not be liable for any refund of money paid.

Travel details
Arrival and pick-up details (for pensione holidays) will be confirmed three weeks before your holiday is due to start or on receipt of your final payment, whichever is the less. It is your responsibility to arrive promptly at the pick up point and we cannot be held responsible for any additional costs, should you fail to do so.

Provision of your holiday
We will provide the services which form part of the inclusive holiday as confirmed to you. When we receive your signed booking or online booking form and return a deposit receipt, this acts as acceptance of the booking on the terms of these conditions from that moment. All holidays/walks advertised are subject to availability.

Minimum Number
We will run the holiday with a minimum of four persons. We will take bookings from single travellers who may join a scheduled vacation.

If we change your holiday
Occasionally, it may be necessary to change travel or holiday arrangements. We will always tell you of any major changes as soon as possible. Should the same standard of accommodation not be available then you will have the option to cancel your holiday and receive a full refund. Compensation payments do not apply to changes caused by reason of war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, technical problems to transport, closure or congestion of airports, cancellation or changes of schedules by airlines and similar events beyond our control. The walks shown on the website serve as an example of the walks we provide.

If we cancel your holiday (excludes day walks)
We reserve the right to cancel your holiday. In this unlikely event we will return all monis you have paid to us or will offer you an equivalent holiday.

Our responsibility for your holiday (excludes day walks)
Our responsibility is to provide to a reasonable standard all component parts of the inclusive holiday you book with us, as described. If any such part is not provided in the advertised manner, we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected the enjoyment of your holiday.

Rights of admission
Tuscany Walking reserve the unconditional right to refuse a booking or to debar a person from a holiday or walk in the event of conduct which in our reasonable opinion is likely to cause distress, damage or annoyance to guests, employees, property or to any third party. This includes any guest who fails to advise us of a medical condition or of a disability which prevents their full participation in a holiday programme or walk. If we are not informed in this way we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or costs incurred by you and this may include our refusal to complete your holiday arrangements/walk. Cancellation charges of 100% would apply in these circumstances. Smoking is not allowed in any Tuscany Walking transport. If you ignore this condition, you may be asked to leave the holiday/walk.
