Walking and Sketching

Walking and Sketching

Join us for short guided walking tours in Tuscany and learn sketching and drawing amongst the spectacular nature here in the Serchio Valley. Art sessions include use of pen-and-ink, watercolour painting and pastel. You will walk in picture postcard Tuscan hill-top towns and ancient villages and see some amazing scenery around Barga and the Garfagnana using a series of ancient footpaths which also take in many interesting and inspiring mountain routes in the Apuan and Appenine Alps.

We welcome all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced artists. All you need is a sketchbook, we’ll supply the other sketching equipment.

You will be accompanied and guided by an English artist, Tony Phillips who has lived in the area for more than 15 years. Tony has a passion for walking and the local landscape. He has exhibited widely in the UK including recently at the V & A and Tate Briton. He has work in many public collections.
